“Songs my Mother Taught Me”

As a family ensemble consisting of violinist Monique Mead, harpist Isabel Cardenes (19), and pianist Tino Cardenes (18), the Trio con Brio presents a program featuring strange-but-true stories of their musical lives on and off the stage. Performing solo and in mixed ensembles, music includes works by Beethoven, Dett, Gershwin, Gliere, and Piazzolla sprinkled with Mother Goose rhymes and Cuban rhythms.
