The Peters Township Public Library will host PA native Walter Meyer via Zoom on Monday, May 10 at 7:00 p.m. as he shares anecdotes and photos from his latest book, recalling life in the South Hills and some of his more memorable experiences in his life thus far. If You Weren’t Here, This Would Not Be Happening is the seventh book by Bethel Park native Walter G. Meyer. Written one story at a time on Facebook during the Covid Pandemic, If You Weren’t Here, This Would Not Be Happening is a collection of dozens of humorous, tragic, and touching anecdotes from the author’s weird life. From his family’s relationship to the Pittsburgh Pirates, connections to the Battle of Gettysburg, stories of growing up in the South Hills, celebrity encounters (including fellow Pittsburgher Shirley Jones) to other odd jobs including working in Hollywood, all stories celebrate the underlying theme that life is an adventure if you choose to live it as one. A Q&A session will follow Mr. Meyer’s presentation. Learn more http://www.waltergmeyer.com/.
