State Rep. Natalie Mahalek and Russ Spicuzza, South Hills Elks Lodge #2213 representative, attended the ceremony to award him.

Jackson’s Eagle Scout project benefited the Peters Township community by extending the Peters Wood Lake Trail a quarter-mile by clearing brush and constructing stairs to improve the trail access. Jackson’s brother, Zachary Basar also attained his Eagle Scout rank March 2016 by identifying, constructing and installing 12 geological signs located along the Montour Trail in Peters Township.
