Kennywood Fright Nights

Kennywood Fright Nights open for the 20th season and runs until Oct. 30

Kennywood’s Phantom Fall Fest is back for its 20th season of fright nights through Oct. 30.

Friday hours are 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday hours are noon to 11 p.m., with Sunday hours shortened to 10 p.m. There will be two Thursday offerings on Oct. 20 and 27. Hours are 6 to 10 p.m.

Fall Fest adds a new maze, mAlice in Wonderland. This choose-your-own-adventure maze takes guests down one of two terrifying paths where the evil inhabitants of Wonderland will greet them.

mAlice in Wonderland joins favorites like Voodoo Bayou, Villa of the Vampire, and Shady Grove Memorial Hospital in the haunted house lineup. Four walk-through scare zones await, including the new Dead Light District, and the park’s tunnel, filled with fog and fear-makers eager to deliver each night’s first or final scares.

In all, the Halloween spectacular features seven haunts, four scare zones, and Kennywood’s collection of 30 thrilling rides, including the Steel Curtain, which is open for the first time during Phantom Fall Fest.

During the day, there are family-friendly activities that include dance parties, fall characters and favorite rides like Thomas Town and the Merry-Go-Round, decked out in an autumn atmosphere. When the sun goes down, fear kicks into gear on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, plus the two new bonus Thursday dates.
