Kids of all ages darted through the gates of Canonsburg Town Park Pool last Wednesday to claim spots on the soft grass before diving into refreshingly cool waters. Temperatures soared into the 90s last week, marking the first scorcher in what may be a hot summer.
Beating the heat

Michael Dyczewski, a seventh-grader at Canon-McMillan, has grown up swimming and flipping off the diving board at Town Park Pool with his twin brother Jeremy. The Dyczewski brothers were joined Wednesday by their grandmother, Kim Erbrecht, younger sister Lexie and Lexie’s babysitter Koryn Meyers.
