Chabad of the South Hills in Mt. Lebanon is continuing its offerings for children with a “Mini Gan Izzy” summer camp.
Taking place in two weeklong sessions, July 8-12 and 15-19, the camp is part of the Gan Israel Camping Network, which has been offering programs for more than 60 years.
“Mini Gan Izzy” incorporates Jewish values and traditions within a fun and educational setting, according to Mussie Rosenblum, the camp’s co-director and Chabad event coordinator.
Activities include nature exploration, water play, sports, gardening, arts and crafts. The camp will welcome some special visitors, and each Friday features challah baking and a Shabbat celebration.
The camp, for children ages 3 to 5, is from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Chabad, 1701 McFarland Road. Children are invited to attend for one or both weeks. Snacks and lunch will be served.
