During the President’s Dinner, McMurray Rotary Club honored William Gullborg of Peters Township as a 50-year member.

Each new Rotary International year starts July 1, and each year brings new presidents to the Rotary clubs around the world.

McMurray Rotary Club welcomed Woody Lutz to the top post for 2018-19 during the annual President’s Dinner, held June 27 at Southpointe Golf Club in Cecil Township. He succeeds Sandra Castro, who served the past year as McMurray’s first female president.

Joining the celebration was Cherie Sears, a member of the Rotary Club of California who on July 1 started her term as governor of Rotary International District 7330. She administered the oath of office to Lutz, and Castro handed him the ceremonial gavel.

McMurray Rotary Club meets at 12:10 p.m. Wednesdays at Atria’s Restaurant, 4059 Washington Road, Peters Township. For more information, visit www.mcmurrayrotary.com.
