Peters Township Public Library has begun offering safe access to physical materials from the library through a limited curbside pickup service.
Patrons can place a hold and reserve items online or by telephone. Library staff members are quarantining returned materials for 72 hours, so allow for a few days to prepare materials.
The library building continues to be closed to the public.
Holds and requests can be placed through the WAGGIN online catalog at https://ptlibrary.org/. Have your library card number and PIN ready to place a request online. Your PIN is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number. If you need help accessing your library account, email firstname.lastname@example.org .
To place a hold by phone, call 724-941-9430 and select #2 on Mondays (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), Wednesdays (1 to 6 p.m.) and Fridays (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Leave a message if a staff member is not available.
When your items are ready, you will receive a call to schedule pickup on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday. You will be given a number that designates your reserved parking spot for contactless pickup.
Materials can be returned by placing them in your trunk inside a plastic bag marked “RETURNS.” It is recommended that you remove any breakable items from your trunk before your arrival.
At your scheduled pickup time, follow the “To Curbside” signs around the library parking lot and pull into your numbered parking spot. Pop open your trunk and remain in your car.
To provide contactless service, a library staff member will wear a mask and deliver items in a bag directly to the trunk. Any items bagged inside the trunk marked for “RETURNS” will be taken from the vehicle and quarantined for three days.
