The Scott Conservancy, an all-volunteer land trust with 77 acres of land under protection in Scott Township and Mt. Lebanon, is planning its 30th-anniversary celebration.
The event, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 14 in the Kane Woods Nature Area.
At the Scrubgrass Run Trailhead, 1459 Scrubgrass Road, free hot dogs, snacks and beverages will be served, and there will be an ongoing scavenger hunt for children. “Nature” Don McGuirk will lead a hike at 10:30, and a tour of the conservancy’s apiary is at 11. Honey from the apiary is available for purchase.
A dog walk is scheduled for noon, starting at the Whiskey Point Trailhead. All dogs walking on trails must be on leashes.
