Peters Township’s girls lacrosse team defeated Latrobe 12-6 after suffering a 14-11 loss to Seton LaSalle.

With the win, the Indians improved to 3-5 on the season.

Mackenzie Lehman led the attack against Latrobe, scoring six goals. Sarah Rubican and Maria Vilsack each scored two goals, while Natlie Cocco and Nica Schratz added one goal each.

In the non-section loss to the Rebels, Lehman scored four goals while Rubican added a hat trick. Rachel Raber, Cassidy King, Schratz and Audrey Faloni completed PT’s scoring with one goal a piece.

For Seton LaSalle, Margaret Rodgers scored four goals while Cameron Trainman and Sarah Farnan each scored hat tricks. Olivia Edkin scored two goals while Madison Eidemueller added another in the win.

In Section 1-AAA action, Upper St. Clair and Bethel Park defeated the Lady Indians.

Caitlyn Schultz exploded for six goals in leading BP to a 17-15 win against Peters. Kiersten Shultz and Riley Miller had hat tricks while Peyton Miller (2) and Sydney Bussard (1) scored the other goals.

For the Indians, Lehman scored four goals. While Schratz added a hat trick, Rubican and Maddie Mackay had two goals each. Maria Vilsack and Gabby Tom scored goals.

In a 19-10 loss to USC, Lehman scored six goals for Peters, while Maria Vilsack scored two goals and Tia Mussitsch and Rubican added a goal a piece.

With four goals each, Haley Newton and Lauren Hart led the Panthers attack. Katie King, Lindsay Newton and Hannah Thompson scored hat tricks. Bri Lang and Celena Kerr managed single goals.

In the season-opening 11-2 loss to Pine-Richland, King and Raber accounted for PT’s goals.

Earlier, the Indians defeated Erie McDowell, 15-11, in a non-league game.

Lehman and Mussitsch scored four goals a piece. Schratz added two goals while Mackay, Rubican, Faloni, Tom and Abby Clark (game winner) supplied one goal each.
